Hello there!
No time, no blog! Getting settled in Minneapolis is taking it out of me, Who knew a cross-country move could be so exhausting? Everyone warned me it would be, but oh man were they right. But, let's talk about something non-moving related (which is what my soul needs)- dresses! Yes, a truly innovative topic for my blog.

Taylor Swift wasn't kidding when she said August would sip away like a bottle of wine, and all of a sudden the world is all warm toned, pumpkin-spiced, chunky-knit obsessed. And I have to say, being in some MN sweater weather has really re-ignited my love for fall. However, I cannot ignore my Texas roots- where my friends and family are still sweating their butts off! So, I wanted to share a dreaming little dress to get you into the fall spirit, when the temps aren't quite there yet.

I fell in love with the gorgeous golden-yellow, fading sage, and deep blue florals on this dress against the cream backdrop. It is this rich color palate that gives it such an autumnal feel. I would liken the flowers to mums, bright against the backdrop of dulling-green leaves. This dress is actually long sleeved, but I cuffed it up because when I pre-shot this outfit in Texas, it was 95 degrees. So yes, a typical fall day in TX! I adore the crochet details along the bodice, and the sweetest tired ruffles along the hem. I picked it up from ChicWish, which is seriously one of my favorite places to find dresses. Their unique details, stunning prints, and selection of styles makes it so fun to always find something new.

I paired it with my peep-toe booties, which are an early-fall favorite of mine. The peep-toe and side slits keep them cool, while giving you that fall-look. I topped it off with a golden and yellow knot headband from Amazon. How I'll wear it in MN is with a denim jacket, tall boots, lace socks peeking out of the boots, and topped off with a floppy hat. It has been in the 40's and raining this week, so I am definitely longing for some dress weather!

How much do you love a stunning fall floral?
til next time,
Emily
