"Can you just not, step on my gown?"
This dress makes me feel like I just hopped out of Taylor Swift's 'You Need to Calm Down' music video, and I could not be more excited about it. It's June, it's pride month, and I think we could all use some of that strong, independent, fun-loving activist energy in our lives right now. I mean, always, but now more than ever.
This dress is another from Red Dress Boutique, and I am so incredibly excited to have partnered up with them to share it! This dress has so many details that I absolutely adore: bow-tie shoulders, ruched ruffles, pastels, gingham, and a tiered skirt. And the pink, blue, and white gingham makes me feel like a cotton candy carnival princess, in the very best way possible! I am 5'3", and this dress is long on me. I wore some serious heels, but I think it makes it all the more fun! But just a heads up for my fellow petite peoples- you're going to want some heels for this little number.
I paired it with some heart sunnies from Amazon, because I simply had to. The pair I found was under $10 and on prime, and I unironically love them. I bought them with the sole intent of using them as a prop for these pictures, but they have become my favorite pair of sunglasses. The lollipops were another amazon prop, but they turned out to be delicious... I may have (most definitely) ate half of the box by myself... I regret nothing.
Anyways, dancing around in this maxi with my ridiculous sunglasses while discovering my prop-pops were delicious was the highlight of my week! Red Dress always has such fun, unique pieces that always give me a little extra boost of confidence. I mean, how can you not feel like a million bucks in a cotton candy carnival princess dress...?
til next time,
