Fall Shopping at the Mall of America

Hello there!
Fall is one of my favorite times of year- the prettiest trees, leaves dancing across the pavement, an abundance of pumpkin spiced treats, and the fashion. As much as I adore my frilly, floral dresses- who can resist cozy knits, deeper shades, and stylish layers. And living in Minnesota again, I actually get to embrace fall fashion in a way I never got to in Texas! And, we are in closer proximity to the Mall Of America. So when they invited me to come do some fall shopping at my favorite stores, I couldn't pass it up!

It has been a while since I've gone shopping in person. Some combination of the Pandemic and being a homebody? But Ben and I drug ourselves out on a Friday night to do some shopping! So, let me show you what I put together from what I picked up.

This top I grabbed from Madewell is the perfect summer-to-fall piece. It has some of my favorite feminine details like embroidered florals, puff sleeves, and even a tiered ruffle! And this spiced orange color is not one I had in my closet up until this point. And I have to say, I adore it! The gals at the MOA Madewell said this has been super, popular piece, and I can see why. And if this orange isn't your thing, it comes in another color too! I paired it with some relaxed fit denim, white booties, a braided velvet headband to add some more autumnal elements to the outfit. I also have a Free People 'Adella' lace bralette layered underneath that I picked up on our trip, which you can't see. Oops!
And this is the second outfit I put together! This sweater is another Madewell pick, and a very classic Emily piece. Ben actually asked if I had it already when I picked it up... At least I'm consistent? Love this warm rose blush color for fall, the cozy puffed sleeves, and the square neckline adds a trending touch. This also comes in cream, a dark green, and a mustard yellow that I was very tempted by! But, I had to go with the pink. I paired it with this brown houndstooth pleated skirt I picked up from Abercrombie. I was so happy to see that the back of this skirt was elasticated! What do you think of these pleated skirts that are so on trend this season.

After some shopping Ben & I headed to Crave for dinner. So I got some new fall pieces, and Ben got a yummy burger out of the trip! Successful date night for the Riley's. Thank you so much to MOA style for having us!

Which do you prefer- shopping online or in person?
