Frilly Floral Mini Dress
To me, spring is all about pastels, fresh blooms, and floaty frilly dresses. I am interning at Sabi Boutique, and watching the boxes full of spring pieces arrive, unboxed, styled, and helping put them up on the site is one of my favorite things! As soon as this dress came out of one of those boxes, I fell in love.
The soft mint green behind peachy pink and yellow blooms with puff sleeves, self-tie neckline, and tiered ruffles just seemed like the epitome of spring to me. Tiered skirts are a huge trend for this spring and summer, and I love how twirly and flirty it makes the skirt of this dress. And you know what a sucker I am for a ruffled detail! You know when you put something on, and you just feel so incredibly yourself? That's how I felt with this pretty little mini. I styled it here with some white, laser-cut lace heels to dress it up. I will also be wearing it with my Keds & denim jacket to dress it down for day to day. How stinkin' cute would it be for Easter, too?
And for anyone wondering- yes, it is hard to handle a horse in heels. If you're new around here, this is my big guy Blue. Yes, the "Blue" of EmilyBlueB. Yes, I am a horse girl. Blue has been my big goofy guy for almost 10 years now, and he is always up to get his picture taken. He is pretty, and he knows it. If Blue hears the click of a camera or sees someone pull out their phone, I swear he poses. My first love, my oldest friend- Blue thank you for your very handsome cameo!
