If there is one phrase that I think really perfectly encapsulates my personal sense of style, I think it would be "unabashedly feminine". Which, is how the brand LoveShackFancy describes itself. LoveShackFancy is a brand that makes the most hopelessly romantic, feminine, dreamy dresses I have ever seen. When I first discovered this brand, it was a moment of like yes these are the dresses I dream of! The catch was they start at around $400, and go up into the thousands. Since looking at the prices, I had since come to terms with the fact that these dresses would remain a dream to me, but I would constantly go to LoveShackFancy for style inspiration. Something about images of dancing around in a field of wildflowers in a ballgown and pearls just speaks to my soul.
When I saw they collaborated with Target to curate a collection of LoveShackFancy style dresses, with a Target price tag- my heart skipped a beat. Dramatic? Yes. Am I exaggerating? No. I am passionate about dresses. So I marked my calendar, and drove to Target with my Mama the morning of June 6th to see this collection in person. My heart seriously melted looking at these lace adorned, ruffled, puff-sleeved, floral beauties. I wanted to grab one of each style, but I practiced some self-control, and picked up two.
First one that caught my eye was this little white lace beauty. As a recently engaged person, I am now on a perpetual hunt for darling white dresses. The tiered skirt with the voluminous pleating and lace hemming caught my eye, and I fell in love with the bodice details as well. More lace, tiered ruffles and floral embroidery... A white sundress dream. As the dressing rooms were closed, I had to wait to get back home to try it on. And when I put it on, I couldn't stop smiling. It is just one of the sweetest little dresses I have ever put on. The ruffles, the tiers, the lace... an absolute dream. And it looks so much like a $475 dress I had daydreamed about from LSF. If you can get your hands on this little number, don't hesitate!
The second one I fell in love with was this light pink, multi-colored floral midi dress. This one had lace details, ruffles, and tiered skirt details too- but it was completely different from the white one, so I felt good about grabbing this one too. I would have happily walked out with one of each, but this was the other one I simply could not leave without! Just looking at this one makes my heart happy, and I knew I would wear it more than some of the more ballgown-looking options. And I am so happy I grabbed it! It is comfy, while still being ultra-feminine and frilly which I love. I could wear it with some sandals out to brunch, or dress it up how I did here with some heels and a pearl purse.
All in all I think these dresses are absolutely lovely, and if you see a style you love- snag it while you can! Has anyone else fallen in love with LSF as much as I have? Let me know!
til next time,
