Hello there!
I am lucky enough to know my dog's real birthday, so obviously I had to celebrate. Which of course means banners, confetti, presents, hats, a cake, a special party dresses. And yes, I found it all for a dog. So, I decided to share everything I found so you can throw a special little paw-ty for your favorite furry friend! My first priority was to find matching outfits for me and my pup. Luckily I found a pink, seersucker dress with a bow very similar to one of my favorite dresses from Lauren James! When it came in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised it matched mine perfectly. I got a medium for my 9 pound, miniature dachshund puppy- so I'd say they run small and to size up for your pup, the Lauren James dresses run true to size for me. Next up I fell down the dog-party supplies rabbit hole on Amazon. I ordered a pack with a cake topper, banner, bone-shaped confetti, and miss Piper's darling little party hat! I also ordered her a little crown, which Piper was not as cooperative with. So, I'd just stick to the pack of stuff- it's a better deal anyways. Next up, her present. I found a big squeaky toy shaped like a slice of cake with a candle on it. And when I say Piper is obsessed, I mean it. She has been carrying it around allll day! It is absolutely adorable, 10/10 a great purchase. Now, for the cake. I made this dog cake recipe I found online, and just added a banana to the batter because my puppy loves bananas. And for frosting, I just used some vanilla greek yogurt! She loved it, it was the cutest thing to watch her bite into it. If you're not up for making a cake, little pup-cakes would be just as cute! You can shop all of my paw-ty picks here, and let me know if you've ever thrown a dog birthday party! til next time, Emily
