I have been painting my nails for as long as I can remember. I went through a phase where I was super into nail art, and would spend hours every night re-painting them with intricate little designs. I ruined the nice, white, Pottery Barn desk that was in my childhood room with nail polish (it was like-spin art). As the years passed I just wanted something that would stay on as long as possible. I could never warrant the time or money to go get my nails done, so I just shuffled through every nail polish brand Target and Walmart had to offer. After a lot of experimentation, I decided Essie was my favorite. A few years later Essie released their Gel Couture line, and my life changed.
Okay maybe that's a little dramatic, but I went from repainting my nails 2 or 3 times a week to once every week. Which is a huge time saver! The Essie Gel Couture line is a two-step system, with your color and top coat. It usually only takes two coats of the polish, then the top coat, and ta da! You have fab nails all week long. They give that same glossy effect that gel nails do, but for a fraction of the price and you don't have to leave your home! Which, is my biggest concern- if I can do something out of the comfort of my own home, I will. And it dries pretty fast, so less of that helpless 'I just did my nails' time.
What do you do with your nails? Are you a fellow Essie lover? Let me know!
'til next time,
