I love jewelry, but I love it even more when it means something. Like if it holds a special memory, or reminds you of something you love. Or in my case, a beloved horse.
Have you noticed my affinity for bumble bees? Well, I actually had a horse named Miss Behavior, Miss B for short, Bee for extra short. I started collecting things with bumble bees, because I was just so in love with my sweet horse. She came into my life when I needed her, and she needed me. We saved each other, and she was my little miracle. She was my daily reminder that life is incredible, everything happens for a reason, and no day can’t be fixed by a soft-nosed horse kiss.
I lost her about a year ago, which was and has been devastating. B was my best friend, my greatest comfort. I had the happiest moments of my life with her by my side. It has been tough dealing with and living with this grief, but I wear bumble bees every day as a sweet reminder of my sweet friend.
I found pieces at James Avery that are not only beautiful, but are meaningful. I wear a gold bumble bee charm on a necklace, and a bumble bee ring every single day. They remind me of my B enough to make me smile without bringing me to tears. I have worn my necklace and ring every day for the past 5 years now, and they show no signs of wear. Thank you so much to James Avery for sending over their updated bumble bee ring, and the gorgeous budding vine ring. If you are looking for a lifelong piece to put your heart into, you can trust James Avery.
