Happy Monday, folks!
Dreary, cloudy, spitty Mondays are quite possibly the worst kinds of Mondays. I already didn't want to get out of bed, does it really have to be misty and 100% humidity? Ah, nothing like springtime in Texas! I was just heading to class today so I opted for something extremely comfortable, but with a few cute details to still make me feel put together. My top is this thermal from Free People, I love it for spring because it's super soft, but it doesn't make me too hot or too cold. I love the stitched details down the sides, and the thinner sheer panel of fabric at the bottom. All of the comfort of a simple long-sleeved tee, but elevated. Even better, it's on sale & comes in a bunch of colors (mine is the color "Sky")! What you see peeking out from under my top is this adorable bralette, also by Free People! It is elasticated all the way around the band, and the lace is super soft. Who wants to suffer through a Monday in a real bra on anyways? For pants I opted for my favorite pair of black leggings. These are the Zella "Live In High Waist" ones from Nordstrom, and they're my favorite day-to-day leggings. The waist is high, but not too high and tight to where you feel like you can't breath. They also don't stretch out after several days of wear, and wash very nicely. I have two pairs and as the name suggests; I live in them. Through the fall and winter I dress them up with boots and sweaters, and into spring I style them like this. All in all, a very well-loved piece in my wardrobe. This outfit would also be adorable with your favorite pair of jeans, but it was not a jeans kind of Monday for me. My shoes are Keds x Rifle Paper Co from last spring, but I've linked a similar version from the collection they came out with this year! Taylor Swift started working with Keds around 2012 which is when I started adding them to my closet (shocker), and they are still a brand I find myself gravitating towards. Cute, comfortable, versatile- can't ask for more than that! I hope you're all having a good start to your week! 'til next time, Emily B
