Hey guys!
I would ask if you are sick of plain, chocolate brownies- but can anyone actually be sick of a classic brownie? They're a classic for a reason! But, if you happen to be looking for a simple way to switch up your favorite brownie recipe, then this is the post for you! Because the only think that goes better with chocolate besides more chocolate is peanut butter.

Now, here's what you'll need to do! (corresponding pictures are down below)

     1. Start off with whatever your favorite brownie recipe; from scratch, gourmet, or from a box- completely up to you. My own mother prefers boxed brownies over my from scratch recipe so to each their own (even though she is very clearly out of her mind with this one!!!). Once you've whipped that up, go ahead and pour half of it in your baking pan, and put it in the oven to start baking while you start on the peanut butter filling. Pre-baking the bottom for a few minutes ensures that the brownie will be cooked all the way through as the peanut butter filling does make the brownie quite thick and ooey-gooey!
     2.  Now for the filling you are going to take 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and mix it with 1 and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until you have a sort of dry, cookie dough-like mixture. This essentially makes the same peanut butter filling you find inside of a Reese's!
     3. After the 5 to 10 minutes take the brownie bottom out, and start crumbling the peanut butter filling evenly over the top. (Personally I like to add cut up Reese's PB cups into the middle part as well, because sometimes more IS more.) Once you are satisfied go ahead and pour/ spoon the rest of your brownie batter over the top of the filling and stick it back in the oven and bake according to your recipe until it's done.

Once your pan of deliciousness is done baking, feel free to top with more Reese's, drizzle some melted peanut butter, or even ganache- the world is your oyster my friend. Or rather, your stinkin' delicious peanut butter cup stuffed brownie (which sounds soooo much better, doesn't it?).

Happy Baking!
