Hello there!
I planned this blog post before all of the COVID-19 cases & precautions started up in the US, but I decided I still wanted to share. While most events and weddings this spring and summer are being forced to be postponed, I know these weddings will all still happen. We will still get the chance to celebrate our friends & their ever-lasting love, so I still wanted to share this stunning dress with you all!

I am officially that age when all of my friends are starting to get married. I knew this time would come, and I cannot wait for the dance parties, cake, and over-the-top cutesy & mushy couples. And of course- getting all dressed up. However, I know wedding guest attire can get pretty confusing, pretty fast. I mean, really fast. We have black tie, white tie, formal, cocktail, semi-formal, dressy casual... I could go on. I have seen and heard a lot- I mean how do people come up with all of this? No offense beautiful brides, but decoding dress codes can kind of be a whole ordeal. So I wanted to share a dress that you can dress all the way up or down for any and all weddings you may have coming up!

I fell in love with this blue, gold-flecked beauty from Sabi Boutique. The silhouette, v-neckline, and pleated skirt makes it such a classic and timeless option, and the gold detailing makes it modern and on-trend. I also love how the skirt goes a little longer in the back for a little extra flair. And, it has pockets. It feels very much like a Gal Meets Glam dress as far as quality, construction, and fit- but it is well under $100! I also have a Sherri Hill dress I wore way back when to Homecoming in high school, and this dress very much reminds me of that one with it's structured fabric and flared skirt.

I paired it with some nude heels and some of my go-to jewelry, and I would say this would suffice for any formal to semi formal affair. You could totally dress it up more with some statement earrings, a sleek clutch, and some glittery heels. Alternatively, throw on some pumps or dressy sandals for a more casual setting. For all my fellow seniors- it would also be gorgeous for graduation!

What events do you have coming up? Need more outfit ideas? Let me know!
til next time,
Emily
