Wildflower Maxi Dress

I have such a soft spot for wildflowers. In college when I had the joy of having my old mare Miss B there with me, I would spend sunny afternoons with her grazing, in fields of wildflowers that came up past my knees. These were of course Texas wildflowers in the springtime, but any time I see an unkempt field of flowers it brings a smile to my face. Likewise, when I see wildflowers spotted across a frock.

This dress is from one of my favorites Red Dress Boutique, and the light cotton-blend fabric is perfect for these late summer days. I styled it here with some gold platform heels, which only caused me to twist my ankle approximately 3 times! 

Into fall, I'll style it with some white booties, and a denim jacket tossed over my shoulders.
